Brethren,
Good Day! Last week we had another excellent Stated Meeting which included a very educational program. We had over 45 brothers in attendance, and by all accounts it was a very successful evening. Attached is a picture we took at the end of the meeting.
I was sent pictures from Brother Ben Oshlin who recently went on a trip to Europe, which he asked me to share. He sent me an email which included some of the sites he was able to visit. This was from Ben: I was lucky to have had a chance to go to England and Scotland last month — I went to Windsor Castle in England, and was at St. Alban’s Street there, and then in Scotland, I visited the famed “Rosslyn Chapel”, with all its Masonic connections!
Lastly, here are some upcoming events:
October 14th(Tuesday): We are having dinner at Maggiano’s and then going to the Temple to confer a Third Degree.
October 20th: We were asked to support another Lodge in our District that is struggling with attendance. They meet at Maggiano’s and then have their Stated Meeting at the Temple. Here are the details for the program they have scheduled: The speaker is Brenden Hickey and his subject is “ Protecting the Fraternity “ He will start with the Real Illuminati then get into the Fake Illuminati, Then will talk about Playboy Magazine and why Freemasons are such frequent target of them, and will wrap up with things we can do to protect our Fraternity. Presentation runs about 30 minutes.
October 22nd(Wednesday): We are having dinner at Maggiano’s and then going to the Temple to advance several candidates. Please come out to see Brother Dom in action as he will be conferring a First Degree now that he passed his certification. Congrats Brother Dom!!
It’s hard to believe that Brother Evan T. Martin’s year as Worshipful Master is coming to an end. We all owe Brother Evan a great deal of gratitude for the superb job he has done as Worshipful Master of St. Alban Lodge No. 529.
Please keep the dues payments coming. As of today here are our numbers: 222 have paid and 256 still owe their dues. If you are one of the 222, thank you for paying early. If you are one of the 256, please pay early!
I think that covers most of what I wanted to communicate. I hope everyone comes out to the various events. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
