Good Afternoon Brethren and Happy New Year-

I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday season and are ready to embark on another new year. This is obviously a big year for St. Alban Lodge as we now welcome our Brethren from Equity Lodge into our ranks and this week celebrate our first meeting together.

Speaking of this week, tomorrow evening (Monday), we are scheduled to have our instruction meeting at the Temple at 7pm. We will be reviewing the Business of the Lodge and the reception of the DDGM as Br. Samuel Freeman, DDGM, intends to visit us on Wednesday evening. Wednesday, the festivities begin at maggiano’s with a celebratory merger banquet in their Palumbo Room beginning at 5:30p and then the meeting will commence in Renaissance Hall at 7:30p, In addition to routine business, Br. Damian Sammons, P.M. will be giving a presentation on “Freemasonry During Times of War, Focusing on Vietnam”. As of now, we have 52 registered for dinner and over 60 expected at the meeting. If you wish to attend and have not already RSVP’d, there are 8 slots remaining for the banquet.

You may have noticed some new and exciting communication tools we are utilizing to get the word out. On our Facebook page, we have added a monthly Video Notice of what will be happening at the Stated Meetings. Here is the link https://www.facebook.com/1843924911/videos/2145979575610774/.

We are also utilizing the call-em-all feature which is a recorded message from the WM each month which will go to your phone. If we don’t have a good phone number for you, please advise so we can update our records for you in Grandview.

Extra Meetings are scheduled this month for the 16th at our Temple in Philadelphia and a Degree day on Saturday, 1/21 at the Jenkintown Masonic Temple starting at 10a. We are working on approximately 17 candidates so multiple Extra Meetings will be a must.
