Morning Brethren-
Just a few items today to keep you all updated..
First, at our Extra Meeting last Wednesday, we raised 2 Brothers to the sublime Degree of a Master Mason, Brs. Vincent Wenge and Mike Youssef. Br. Evan gave another amazing 3rd Degree and we were also blown away by Br. Paul Mogianesi who also conferred a 3rd Degree flawlessly. How great that we have so many younger members who have mastered the MM Degree.. not many Lodges can make the same boast!
Our Stated Meeting in October will be held on the 11th with dinner in the lower banquet room at 6p. We will retire to Egyptian Hall and prior to opening, we will have a guest speaker, Dr. Mark Bendett, give a presentation entitled “The History of United States Currency From Beaver Pelts to Federal Reserve Notes”. Dr. Bendett will bring samples of currency printed in Benjamin Franklin’s printing press. It should be a fascinating presentation. Hope you can join us. If you intend on coming to dinner and/or the meeting, please let me know this coming week so I can alert the caterer.
Also at our Stated Meeting we will ballot on 2 new petitions and vote on the reinstatement of a member. We will have 1 Extra Meeting this month on Wednesday the 25th at which time we will confer 3 FC Degrees. Dinner will be at Maggiano’s at 5:30p. Believe it or not thanks to the hard work of our Officer Corps and the support of many others, we are pretty well caught up with the 18 candidates we started with in 2023. Job well done!
Earlier in September, first dues notices for 2024 were emailed. So far over 50 members have already paid their dues. A 2nd email blast will go out in the next couple of days.
The International Gathering is fast approaching in 2 weeks. If you are going, please send the registration form in and book your hotel. Form is again attached.
