Morning Brethren-
Sorry we missed last week.. I was on my way to Denver for an annual national conference. The Lodge had a very prosperous week Raising four Brethren to the sublime Degree of a Master Mason (Paul Mogianesi, Dominick Arp, Ian Grau & Derf Raphael). We appreciate all who came out to support this effort, especially Alan Ozer, P.M. who conferred all 4 MM Degrees. Tomorrow night we have our last Extra Meeting for October at which time we will confer 2 additional Master Mason Degrees on Duane Bedley and Vincent Kenny. The Trestle Board has been set, but we would love to have extras on the sidelines for additional support. Please send positive vibes to our J.W., Br. Herman Wilson who will be going for his Fellowcraft Degree Certification tomorrow night!!
Just a reminder that the Masonic Baby Shower will take place October 29-30. October 29 will be for preparation work (wrapping gifts, etc) and the 30th will be the actual event. I have the following signed up as volunteers-
— October 29th- David Hearst, Duane Bedley & Jim Driesbach + 1 guest
— October 30th- Jim Clancy, Joe Cain, Lorenzo Mazzamuto (+1), Doug Carlson, Ian Grau, Ron Crockett & Paul MogianesiDress for the event is business casual, but try to wear something Masonic like a hat or shirt. We have tons of 529 hats in our locker. If you need to change/ cancel or if you wish to add on, please contact me. The event will be at the Masonic Temple on Broad Street. Start time on the 29th is 10a and 9:30a on the 30th. Parking vouchers will be provided.
November is starting to shape up with our Stated Meeting set for the 9th and only 1 Extra Meeting in November on the 21st (2 EA Degrees). We will be balloting on 2 new petitions in November as well.
Please don’t wait until the last minute to make your dues payment for 2023. Several notices have gone out and the next will be sent on 11/1. Dues are 125.00 and due by 12/31.
All documents have been submitted to Grand Lodge for the proposed merger with Equity Lodge No. 591, but quite frankly, the Lodges have gotten so close and we have received so much assistance from 591, it almost seems the merger has already happened, but we must await formal G.L. approval. Both Lodges resoundingly and unanimously approved the Merger.
Just a reminder that there is a Beef & Beer event to support Mitchell Lodge No. 81 in Chestnut Hill to raise funds for the reconstruction of their Masonic Lodge devastated by fire this past August.
