Hello, My Fellow Brothers,

Sorry I have not written recently, but I have been on the road for the past few weeks for work and personal reasons.

I was not able to attend the last Stated Meeting, but from all reports, it went very well, thanks to our very capable and prepared Worshipful Master and Officers. As usual, the meeting was well attended. We also had a very nice evening in South Philly at Victor’s Cafe. The food was delicious and we were entertained by some very talented opera singers.

I would like to thank all of the brothers who work very diligently to collect as many dues payments as possible from our membership. We made some very good progress on reducing the list of delinquencies.

We continue to see strong interest in membership and have several petitions in various stages. We have also seen many inactive or suspended brothers show interest in rejoining.

I wanted to remind everyone of some important dates that are coming up:

On April 30th, we are conducting two Third Degrees. The meal will be at Maggiano’s at 5:30 pm. The meeting will start at 7:30 pm.

At our June Stated Meeting, we are having our annual scholarship presentation. The applications are due to me by May 15th. Please send them in on time. Please also keep in mind that this is an open meeting, so your significant other is invited to attend. We are going to have a catered meal before the meeting, and our very own Lorenzo Mazzamuto will be performing.

I am also happy to report that Brother Michael Solow is making good progress after having brain surgery. He was very appreciative of the get-well basket we sent him.

Lastly, I am also glad to report that our DDGM(C) Samuel Freeman has recovered nicely from his surgery and is now able to conduct his duties as DDGM.

Let’s keep up the good work to keep our Lodge strong and healthy.
