Morning Brethren and hope you are all making the best of this very wet weekend.
We had an awesome Extra Meeting (our last one for awhile) this past Wednesday. We put the word out that we needed some assistance and the Brethren responded accordingly. We conferred 4 Fellowcraft Degrees on Keidron Alexander, Mike Youssef, Joe Bullock and Darryl Walters and the night could not have gone smoother thanks to the amazing turn out and some assistance from our Brothers at Mitchell No. 81 and also some assistance from Brethren who traveled in from Harrisburg! That’s Brotherhood in action!
Our next Stated Meeting will be on Wednesday, May 10th with dinner at Maggiano’s at 5:30p and the meeting will begin at 7:30p. We will be in Egyptian Hall this month. We are pleased to have as our guest speakers, Br. J. Michael Larkin, Active Member of DeMolay International and the Executive Officer of PA DeMolay as well as Br. Louis GrowMiller, Active Member of Demolay International and Sr. Deputy Executive Officer as well as Grand Steward of the G.L. of Pa. who will present an overview of the DeMolay program and our plans to rejuvenate the DeMolay Chapter (Friendship-Bray) that is within District C. We will also have a visit from our D.D.G.M., Br. Sam Freeman who has pledged his support of this project to bring back one of Pa DeMolay’s oldest Chapters (founded 1927) and my home Chapter, having been initiated into FBC in 1980. Quite honestly, we are looking for strong adult leadership to guide these Chapters to success. A couple of you have already indicated you were interested in assisting in one way or another.
Also at our Stated we will be balloting on the petition of Patrick James Campbell and voting on the plural membership applications of John Schwirian, Matthew Abad and Robert Wexler.
Scholarship applications are starting to roll in. I have received 5 additional over the weekend. The deadline is looming, so if you are thinking about submitting, please do so before May 15th. The presentations will be held at our June Stated Meeting. The application is attached.
Be on the lookout for announcements of various social events the WM and his team are putting together since we are holding off on Extra Meetings for the next few months. If you have ideas for anything fun you would like to do, contact the WM.
That’s all for this week, Brethren. Have a great week and stay safe.
Frats- Jim
