Good Morning Brethren-
Yesterday, was the 31st Annual Masonic Breakfast at LuLu Temple Shrine and this year we welcomed our new Right Worshipful Grand master, Jeffrey M. Wonderling, who gave an inspiring speech on his plans to bolster membership over the nest 2 years. he has many new and innovative programs which we will highlight in the months ahead.
We are certainly doing our part to bolster membership as we have 7 candidates in the pipe receiving Degrees and at least 1 new petitioner who was recently investigated and will be voted upon at our February 9th meeting. Great start to 2022 for sure.
There will be an impromptu rehearsal this evening (Sunday) at 5pm at the Masonic Hall in Chestnut Hill (8425 Germantown Ave.). The Mitchell Hall Association is allowing us to have this rehearsal as well as conduct Extra Meetings there (when we have large candidate groups requiring us to to Degrees on Saturdays), but they requested a very nominal rent for the use of their facilities which the Officers believe is more than reasonable and we thank Lodge No. 81 for assisting us so we don’t always have to go downtown. Tonight’s rehearsal will focus on the 1st Degree and I understand we will also be training guides since we have so many candidates next week.
Speaking of next Saturday, we will be conferring 4 Entered Apprentice Degrees on Lorenzo Mazzamutto, Herman Wilson, Sr., Joseph Sparco and Brian Everett. We would like to have the Officers there by 9 to do some last minute rehearsing and we will start Degrees at 10. I will be conferring 2 of the Degrees and Br. Kyle will take the other 2. We will have lunch afterwards as we should be wrapped up by 1p.
Just a heads up, our Stated Meeting will be on February 9th and we will be conferring the Fellowcraft Degree on Niko Serevetas.
The WM is also looking at a Social event in the near future so we will get information out to you as soon as details are nailed down.
I have been asked to reach out to all Brethren that if you are in possession of a purple ritual book that you are not actively using, kindly turn it in so we can keep an accurate inventory of our supply as we are only issued so many, plus we have new Brethren seeking to start learning work. Appreciate your attention to this.
Thank you for all you are doing to keep our Lodge moving forward. have a great week and stay safe, and especially keep warm. It’s going to be a cold one!
Frats- Jim
