Morning Brethren-
Greetings from Canada! We are about to end what has been a very successful Gathering of International Lodges Named for St. Alban in Mt. Forest, Ontario Canada and what a rewarding experience to share Fraternal Greetings with Masons throughout the World. The weather could not have been more perfect with sunny skies and temperatures in the 50’s & 60’s. A great tease for own upcoming Fall weather. Hopefully, you all didn’t get water logged this weekend in PA!!
First order of business is this weeks activities. We start with rehearsal meeting Monday evening at 7p at the Masonic Temple. We have our Stated Meeting on the 12th and I must say, attendance is light as of this writing. Please keep in mind we will be visited by our D.D.G.M. Daniel Scheetz and he will be bringing our D.D.G.M. to-be, Br. Samuel Freeman who assumes his duties this coming December 27th. Please join us and greet our 2 visiting Brethren.
This coming Saturday is our Extra Meeting at Ft. Mifflin and all of the information is in your Lodge Notice. Coffee, etc will be served at 8:15am. We will be conferring at least 2 EA Degrees and will have lunch afterwards.
We have been informed that Garibaldi Lodge in New York will once again be hosting an EA Degree on Friday, November 2nd. We will subsidize transportation (bus) for anyone who wishes to go. Other expenses for meals, etc will be $45 pp. We would leave around 2p and it will be a late return. Please advise if interested. This is a very unique and amazing experience all Masons should see. Please advise if interested ASAP. We usually receive VIP treatment.
Speaking of trips, we are planning something special for you and your families for the Spring of 2019. Be on the look out for a Save the Date in the next couple weeks for a trip to the George Washington National Masonic Memorial in Alexandria, VA followed by a tour of Washington’s home at Mt. Vernon followed by a nice dinner. Should be a great day for you and your family to enjoy!
We’re also in the process of putting in another order for Lodge shirts. Please advise if you would like one and specifics (size, blue/white, name?). Price is $26 with an additional dollar for each additional X past XL.
Don’t forget our Lodge raffle for a 4k LED TV (50″). Tickets are $5/ or 6 for $20. We will pull the raffle in November. You can get tickets from any Officer.That’s all for this week.. looking forward to seeing you all this week at one or all of our Lodge events!
